  • Planning on getting an AeroPress for my dad as a gift and I saw there is a "Go" travel version.

    Anyone with any experience?

What appeals is that it'll take up less space in their cupboard - I find mine a bit of a pain to find space for sometimes.

It'll mainly be a toy/way for him to make espresso-style coffee. It might be taken on trips, but probably won't.

Bialetti? Everyone knows you can't make espresso-style coffee with an aeropress.

With that said, if the volume of water is going to be espresso-style, the Go version immediately makes more sense.

  • Am sure there's a James Hoffman review out there on this. Seem to remember a smaller brew capacity being a key difference. That said seem to remember it packing up neatly so if space is an issue...

  • Got one, works about the same as my normal aeropress, neat little package but maybe a little less versatile due to the smaller volume. Will he use/like the reusable cup it comes in? If yes go for the go, if no I’d just stick with a normal aeropress.
