A non Isofix seat might actually be what you want, one which fastens in place by the seatbelt. Have a look at a Joie Stages - it has a completely flat bottom so will sit happily on your flat base. It is held in place by the seatbelt going over the seat base, so a ratchet strap will do the same thing. The seat itself has a size zero insert so although it's quite big you can use it from newborn.
After much testing of mates stuff and umming/aahing I got a Bulitt - (non-electric) - from SBC Cycles. Amazingly it turned up about a week after ordering - I had assumed that the was some kind of new-bike drought on from all I had heard.
It is f***in' great. Got the Alfine 8 gears, and space for baby in a too large car seat and a large watermelon without stacking one atop the other.
