  • Rescuing a seized zip, is it possible?

I have a hip pouch (Archie's, Rosie? perhaps) and the zip will not open.
It did live in a (damp) garage for a while and I think that is what did it in.

  • If it is metal rub a lead pencil over it.
    If it's plastic, Fairy liquid.

  • It's possible, I freed up a properly corroded gunky metal zip the other day.

The metal zip on my Topeak Fuel Tank was all corroded and stuck, I rubbed vinegar onto it and it freed it up. A few zips back and forth had it working a bit better, and then I stuck some graphite (from a pencil lead) on it, zips up/along nicely now.
