That's a bit of class that is. Proportionally excellent.

Cheers! Just finished building it up & took it for a spin around the block & first impressions are that it fits like a glove.

You got the cranks to work - you're a better man than I!
Build looks great : ) -

Alas, I need to lose a bike! There's two to choose from, but I need to sell one.
Dedacciai Strada K-19 Titanium with a spare new fork.
Condor Moda TitaniumThey're both 52cm in good condition, with just the usual wear marks you'd expect from bikes this age. So, the question is, which one should I keep?

I'd keep the Deda, minus pedals. Reasoning: Shape of the fork, and pump velcro obvs. (no DS pic of the Deda?)
Is Condor more comfy, with the bend in the seat stays?

Found some more photos. To be fair, there's not much difference between both bikes in terms of riding, they're both pretty nice.

I'd say keep the Deda from a purely aesthetical point of view

I own a custom built 2006 Merlin CR 3/2.5, I have been using 25mm tyres and want to now use 28mm, 28mm tyres vary so much that some are wider than others. I have fitted some Panaracer 28mm to the frame and there is about 1mm clearance and suspect on climbs or powering out of the saddle the frame will flex and cause the tyre to rub on the chain stays.
I wanted to know if anyone knows someone in the UK you that can work on the existing chain stays and make them a bit wider by manipulating them to give me 5-10mm on each side to accommodate 28mm tyres. Maybe incresing the dimple in the stays ?
If that's a bad idea, anyone got good recommendations for low profile 28mm tyres as the Panaracer Evos i have come up more like 30mm!

I'd be incredibly wary of dimpling vintage ti. Enigma would be the only people in the UK, but I just had a down tube replaced by them and I know they're incredibly busy so not sure they'd touch it. Would be an expensive spend for not much gain I think.

as fred says, I think you'd need to be very careful doing that or getting someone to do it and places like Enigma might feel wary due to warranty/liability issues.

Swap it for an Extralight of the same vintage, they have surprisingly large clearance, mine runs 28mm no problem. Even though they are one of the flexiest frames ever made ;-).

Not sure the Extralight can compete with the custom build and headtube length!

Ah - it's you! You've left it a little late to fit wider tyres for cobbles tomorrow 😉

And who is this! ?

Has anyone ridden a J Guillem Major frame? Thinking of ordering one, but there doesn't seem much info around about the brand. Thanks

I couldn't get 28 Paselas to clear on the Hare frame/ITM forks I got off you - but had success with both Vittoria Corsa and Rubino Pro in 28..

I've 28 mm Vittoria Corsas in my ti frame which fits up to 28 mm, and there is room to spare. Lovely tyres to ride on Kent lanes too.

I rode one in Mallorca a few years ago, found it pretty good. Felt nicely planted on descents.

This is a rental bike? Best rental porn I've seen to date.
Forgot about this thread. Cross posting from my current project. Most recent iteration of this bike is probably my favourite.
