• Yeah for some reason I’d only checked third party retailers when I posted that, saw on the Stooge site that they are in stock after.

  • You could make something like this from scratch in a weekend.. don’t be modest

Not from scratch but in a day not a weekend...

  • I have done a deposit for the Peregrine, September is the current time frame for delivery.

As wanting something that could take bigger tyres that 47mm, forgot about Stooge, that one looks lovely

  • Debated posting this in the Gravel thread.

  • Definitely belongs here. Looks like it can get though anything.

  • Tiny rear-rack is tiny. I like it!

  • Any idea what the front rack is?

  • Cheers. That's a beast of a bike.

Looks like a lawn chair for a squirrel!

  • Not really sure where this should live...but built it up today and it's good fun.

    Needs some tweaks of course...

  • Question for you/anyone else riding such a fat tyred yet relatively sprightly/not a pain in the cunt to do some distance on looking bike, what gearing you running?

I got rid of my ssmtb last year because I found that I'd gottenb out of the habit of driving to ride with lockdown and the low gear I prefer for offroading (32:19) made it an arse to ride any distance.

I've now got the Kona Unit and have wondered about sticking a set of WTB dirt drops I have and maybe some narrower tyres (27.5 x 2.8 wtb Rangers currently) onto it but don't know if it'd actually be any good.

  • I'm running a 32:18. Tbh I've never really ridden it 'distance'. It's switched between SSMTB and dad bike and that gearing seems to work well.

I'm in Cardiff so have quite a few local trails relatively easy to access with some shorter climbs that are manageable on the gear and stuck a carbon fork on before to shed some weight which helped.

  • Dingle speed is your friend!

  • Yeah that might be an idea actually.

It’s got a full size cassette freehub body so could do it fairly easily.

  • Chuckle mode engaged

(apologies for steerer and the grease on the headtube)

  • Placed a deposit on the OG+ the other month after seeing a mention about it on their site, like how it’s looking as they didn’t have anything at the time

  • 42.21 gets me about on the road reasonably and takes me on most off road jaunts too.

  • Very nice man.

    They feature this little thing

I designed that yoke for STAYER. Takes 42T chainring and 2.4" tyres with 142mm rear, 68mm BB and short 425mm chainstays. Cnc machined chromoly 4130 steel and made to fit oval columbus chainstays
