As for injections, Pfizer the first one hurt as I was tense, the second one in the other arm hurt less. But the person injecting relax me and wouldn't inject till the muscle was relaxed enough. But I hate needles and that makes my muscle tense.
I've never been bothered by needles and AZ#1 is still sore 3 days later so I don't think this localised pain has much to do with muscle tension or fear of needles or whatever, I think it must be the nature of the vaccine - maybe an immune response at the injection site?
