I am hatching some potential plans. I have the day off on the 25th, and have been eyeing out King Alfred's way. So what I'm thinking is doing a leisurely (walking up all the hills) ride out via the south west part to get to Winchester and beyond for late Friday. Would get the train on Saturday back to London obvs.
Definitely weather dependent though, not keen on muddy south downs.
