  • Ooof, noice!

  • Quite like these vintage Caunymatic.

Not sure what it worth from mechanical point of view, but 70’s is strong, live the skin diver case and the orange hands

  • Strap definitely better, break up the colour on the dials nicely

  • This is the original (Paulin) strap, it was the anOrdain that I tried a bunch of different straps on. Ended up with charcoal suede on both though.

  • Suits it well 👌

  • Cool bracelets

  • 2 days late.

  • Hey! Good looking watch; clearly a man of taste :)

  • :)

I’m gonna need a bigger watch box...

  • This US1450 bracelet has exceeded my expectations. Looks great, feels great… a bargain at sub £100 too.

  • tried to swap the bracelet on the Pelagos to the (supplied) rubber dive one, but couldn't get the spring bars to move.
I am not an idiot, is there a knack to it?
    (@Señor_Bear any suggestions?)

  • From my experience, Tudor is usually a tight fit with the bracelet. Either use the calliper/tweezer sort of tool or one by one with a standard spring bar tool. Might want to tape the lugs in both situations too 👍
Oh, and make sure you hold it in a way so it doesn’t come out on top as you can cause a nasty scratch on the top of the lug.

  • Fucking spring bars. Such a joke.

  • I picked this old thing up the other day. Had just had a service too which was nice as they are a bit of a pig/not cheap to service..

  • Out of interest, what was your motivation in a reduced? Size? Cost?

I always thought my wrists were too small to get away with a Speedmaster Professional, but it looks fine on my smaller wrists when I had mine.

  • A mix of all of them i think. I actually used to own this very watch (not this exact watch but an identical reduced) 15 years ago but sold it when I went travelling. I've always liked its compact dimensions and I enjoyed owning it previously.

I also managed to buy it for 1.5k and it had had a 500 quid service 3 months ago so the numbers all stacked up too.

  • Ah nice. 1.5k for a serviced Reduced is a great deal.

  • He trashed the sharp edges of the case when he polished it

  • His first polish. Might give him a break.

    Lol

  • Eltham Se9 is coming up in the world, seen in the local porn shop

  • Steinhart should calm down a bit.

Ladies and gentlemen, here’s the new… Sea Explorer (?)

  • I've got a new job. Everyone here is wearing rose gold day-dates.
They look a lot less special when you see them every day.
