Kia seem to have a good rep...
Are you looking for a plug in hybrid or a self sufficient hybrid?
-
• #65028
Either really. There are a couple of charging points on the street a couple of doors down so that shouldn't be a problem (depending on the cost).

Sense check... manual Mk 6 golf GTI or Peugeot 308 GTi 270. Both at 90,000 kays. Golf at $18,000 pug at $25,000.
They both seem on the pricey side but local used car market is crazy. Obviously golf is older and more generic but is the pug $7000 better?
-
• #65032
See which you prefer driving?
-
• #65033
Slight complication that the pug GTi 270 is quite rare down here and the nearest for sale is 500 kays away. Golfs are everywhere, and have driven them. They feel competent, but not overly exciting. Exactly as the journos say really.

WTCR Nürburgring-Nordschleife and the commentator points out this part after the right turn you need to draft as it is very steep. ‘You’ll know especially if you have done it on a bike with the legs burning’.

Do you have to have a parking permit? AS some boroughs don't need a parking permit while charging.

I recognised Francois Walthery's style straight away on that sticker, it turns out he created the character Citronelle especially for the brand, and it was used for promo material. It's a pretty cool touch if you're into Franco-Belgian comics!

Why is the Citroen sad? Looks brilliant to me, has a lovely patina.

Only because it doesn't appear to move, tyre is flat.
-
• #65043
Ah, I can't make out the flat tyre.

Just sat in this and - not sure if it was Dammit’s exact issue - but the steering wheel is basically 3 inches off centre to the left.
It’s so strange and I need to double check that my position is dead straight in the V50, but pretty sure it is.
Can you rotate the chair? It seemed very obviously uncomfortable.
Very lovely otherwise.

Actually not a bad shout. But I'm not going to stretching tyres onto dished rims or making it pop n crackle.
-
• #65046
I think that’s a feature of all of them.

Brilliant. Enjoy all the smiles. Lots of help on line if you need it. I’ve got no mechanical skills but been able to fix 50% of things myself, very cheaply.

Need to help my mate do the battery on his 64 plate tourneo connect.
Do people bother with memory savers? My Astra needed a special code for the stereo if you completely disconnected the battery so we’d link the new battery in with jump leads to prevent it, but that doesn’t look feasible with the tourneo as the battery is in a trickier spot.

Thanks for that, was not aware of Citronelle. My knowledge of fine line extends to the norms, Hergé and Uderzo, so this is interesting. Have long intended to go to the Comic museum in Brussels, hopefully next visit!

Fukabaaat...
Hybrid estate or SUV, approximately £10k second hand, available on finance?
Toyota Auris estate is one that's cropped up but it looks dull as anything.
Our old Megane is dying and we're thinking of getting something better for the environment and more reliable.
