cheers... I've been toying with the idea of going 1x at some point, but I use my trailer for the big shop / trips to the dump etc so much that I'd really miss the granny ring. I guess the trailer is another nail in the wanker-aspiration coffin anyway

I know what you mean - my rockhopper is used for child-carrying duties, with my weighty 3yo on the back. I occasionally with I had an extra gear or two to drop in to. Also she doesn’t appear to be getting lighter - the opposite, if anything.

Hahaha love this, your image perfectly sums up what a SWHLKLUBIFDARTW is, hell even a wanker bike from an outside perspective! I think from a non cyclist the look and ride of a sub wanker is in their mind so similar to what you can get off the shelf at decathlon that the lines do get merged. It’s the smaller details and care that’s gone into it that might not be at first noticeable that denoted a sub wanker imo.

Waiting for someone to make the "rank my wank" thread where confused forumers can submit their bikes to the jury to decide which thread they should post in.

96 Rockhopper, Ritchey tubing. With Xt nitto, brooks and Thompson still felt like it could lurk under the radar then i got new wheels. The Supernova now makes me jittery so it doesn't get locked up for long out of sight . I guess with being a 23" any crim might find it hard to nash off on it!

I’ve got ‘PCYOTC’s on my bike. I assume it’s some sort of Black Metal thing, right?

Seems an appropriate time to post the bike my girlfriend and I put together for her since it's sporting some of SJS's very best £15 Humperts and will mostly see the cyclepaths between here and the pub.
Basically as purchased besides a slight upgrade to the levers/shifters courtesy of this here forum, the du jour Billies, wald, and some posh guards.
