• They messaged me earlier so I popped down to Stroud to check it out again in person. A really nice twisty ride there that you can actually enjoy at the speed limit.

Good condition for a 5 year old bike, everything seems okay. Slow Domino throttle so should be a little less awful as far as looping it.

Put a deposit on it and should sort finance this weekend. Hopefully.

Swung by my MOT guys (who also run the local trials club) and turns out all I need is a horn, not even a speedo apparently!

  • Handy to know him!
I imagine most testers would need to pull out the rule book every year.

How long have you had your licence?
and how many bikes is that now?

    (I am just jealous)

  • I got my CBT Oct 2019, shoulda had my license March 2020.
    Got my license September 2020.

GN125: Oct '19, sold Mar '21 (stopped using in Sept '20)
DR350SE: Jun '20 (started using Sept '20 after passing test)
XJ600N: Mar '21 (already over 2.5k on the clock)
    Sherco 300 ST: (tbc)

So this is bike number 4 I'll have owned, but never intended to find space for 3 at home.

@Yukirin yes for sure. I guess it is more important on a bike that you might go faster than 30mph. Apparently flat out on a longer trials section some guys push them to 45mph, but by the sounds of it a speedo would only remind you how slow you are. I may look to fit a bicycle one to avoid plod stress.
