Agreed. Given the old man has all these various gubbins, I think I'll take a trip down to costa del sussex to relieve him of soldering iron, shrink wrap, heat gun, crimps and wire strippers.
Probably best to do it properly after dropping several hundreds of pounds on the lights and hub...
