We've got a loft conversion booked in to start in September. I just had the building company get in touch to say that due to unprecedented rises in material costs they are going have to up the initial quote by 3.5k or have to pull out of the project! Apparently the cost of timber has risen by almost 20%. Anyone else seeing this effect their own projects?
