• After trying out a gas grill for the last year or so, I've been left considerably underwhelmed so want to switch back to charcoal.

What one should I get? Budget around £200-300-ish. Have had the usual cheap shit ones before that rust before you look at them so happy to push a bit more of a boat out to get something more robust with replaceable parts etc. Primary use will be grilling, but it would be nice to have the option of other types of cooking (with ease, rather than hacking something cheap, or else I won't bother). Decent cover availability is a must too as it will live outside.

Have already looked at Weber kettles, natch, and if nothing else I'm happy with their offerings, just wondering if there is something else that I may be overlooking.

  • Has anyone here got real world experience of those? Would be a bit of a punt to go quite a bit over budget for what is essentially a knock off. How good is the fit and finish for example? Any furniture/equipment I've bought from Aldi/Lidl has been great for a short while, but then the cost cutting starts to show dramatically.
