eBay problems, resolutions, shenanigans, questions and info (not bike finds)

Nice; I like your response. Pretty standard for ebay these days though; everyone wants something for nothing or they don't bother. My recent comms have been along the lines of:
Me: Offers free postage
Buyer: If I buy this can I get it tomorrow?
Me: Do you want to pay an extra £6 for special delivery? (still means I have to pack and post pretty much immediately)
Buyer: No.
Me: Ok, fuck off then. Buyer blocked.

Also, item listed for £100 or best offer. Buyer offers £50. I counter offer. No response from buyer, counter offer expires.
Me: Blocks buyer.

I know; I take it way too personally and probably have half the world on my blocked list now and wonder why my sales have dwindled! If I don't sell on my terms I'll happily just keep hold of something rather than give it away. But when I do sell, I pride myself in making sure I describe every detail, overpack everything, make sure buyer is 100% happy etc.

But yeah; long story short; ebay sucks. More now than ever it seems.....

Hahahaha! It never surprises me the amount of people who ask/offer daft things on there anymore.

Although I have recently asked a seller how much their reserve was, given a previous auction on an item I wanted (couple of hundred £) got to within a fiver of the BIN price and was still under.

As for selling now, I take my chances on Gumtree (where some people have a ridiculous idea what their stuff might be worth - which doesn't bother me as a seller, as my stuff looks like a bargain)/local selling sites or Mrs c00ps has an extended F*ceb**k network of people who seem to hoover up stuff.

Or I go back to hoarding all the things...

Yup. I put one of my old motorbikes up on eBay last week, starting price of £6k and within 2 hours of the auction going live I got some clown asking if I’d take £4k cash and he’d collect the next day? I asked him why he thought I’d take 2/3 of the starting price within 2 hours of the start of a 10-day auction, and he got all pissy with me. Blocked.
