Oh but I wouldn't recommend it, it's hard to do... Cloth tape on bars is much easier than trying to weave hockey tape.

Also, I'm coming back to polo, need a mallet or two what's the situation nowadays? Can I throw circa £30 somewhere and receive mallet? Are there mallet vending machines next to major courts?

Yo salmon child idk who you are in real life but if you buy a new head i can make you a whole mallet from the ski poles we got from cam. If you come around the courts we will have mallets to spare as well !
Cam i think the mallet your nephew bought where 50£ for shaft + head and he bought something extra like another head or something. He got them from miles cycle shop who just happen to have a stock of dom mallets. His shaft already snapped tho its very thin aluminium more for a ttournament use
I'm not sure what this will achieve.
