Blade- N695 stainless steel, full tang, lovely brushed finish.
Grip- Guayacan Ebony plates and metal pins, velvet underneath, sanded smooth.
Sheath- full grain Argentine leather, has a few superficial scuffs in it (pictured), no cuts, and still smells like rich leather.
Bought for bushcraft and hunting but didn’t manage any hunting and barely used it for bushcraft because it’s so pretty. It more than stood up to a few nights of fire stick making, whittling and foraging, so I have no doubt it is a knife made to be used like the gaucho (Argentine cowboy) knives it’s inspired by. Also used twice as a steak knife to reminisce of Argentina.
The knife has a fantastic feel in the hand, and a very good balance (slightly tip up). The thumb ridges on the spine are excellent, and grant a lot of grip without feeling painful. It keeps an edge well, has no chips or flats, has never been heated.
