Following this conversation I have tracked. DS M3 for what I consider a reasonable price. I mainly shot wide lenses ( Contax G1 + 28mm ) but I'm happy to also use 50 for the M3. What would be the go to lens to get me started on this Leica rabbit hole? let's say £300

According to Ken Rockwell, the new TTArtisans 50 1.4 asph is sharper than a summixlux ;)

Thank you! This is exactly the sort of lens I was thinking. I shall await for said camera and order the lens once it's here.

He's always like that about Leica and a fair few of his comments are quite complimentary towards the TTArtisans. If it's even 90% as good as the Leica 50 1.4 ASPH it's good enough for the money.

Any other suggestions
When I needed an external meter in the past I just used a free iPhone app.
Worked great. -

Carefully look at the photos you shot using the app and decide whether it gave you good results?
I think they're really quite good, paired with some common sense; taking care to deliberately point the thing to the specific object / area you want metered, play around a bit etc.
I went on a vacation once and had a Canon DSLR with me I used for a few occasional snaps, but mostly for metering the Hasselblad I mainly shot with. Later I found out that these apps are a thing, downloaded one and compared it's reading against those of the DSLR. I got very comparable results.

Thanks. It's on my morning ride to work and is often filled with a misty golden light when the sun is low in winter. Tried to capture it on my phone a few times but never got close

Any ideas on this lines? Same the whole roll. Portra 400. Used a rolleicord V ( second ever roll, first one was HP5 and no marks ) both developed at AG labs. At the same time I got another HP5 shot on a Bronica and no lines.
Is this caused by the camera or development?

A few from a roll of HP5
very good
Was wondering if anyone had any spent 2CR5 batteries, usually fit minolta or canon film cameras. As I would like to replace the cells for rechargeable ones. So far two have been lost in the post and two have been lost in the flat.
Thanks
