I got hung up on the notion that the red brick building in the foreground was a church

Instinct, pure instinct. :)

I went to sleep last night convinced it was some esoteric location in B'town that I'd never been to before. Looking at it again this morning I felt the same thing for a few seconds, and then suddenly - bam! - I realized that it was very, very familiar and I'd been past it a thousand times!
God, I love this game.

Left the name of the shop in the tag.
Either very kind or rookie error! -

Who, me? I left in that clue in case ppl didn't know that location, but I needn't have worried. Btw.. it's not a shop but a private residence. And a Brighton curio, featured in at least one book on "unknown Brighton".

It could have been Nannas muses? Whats the radius on this central Brighton only?

Brighton and Hove and Kemp Town usually. With the occasional outlier like when @Dogtemple did one in Rottingdean.

Someone on reddit documented a spate of "used" vegetables with condoms on them left by those postboxes

Looks like a litigators wet dream.
Anyone fancy organising a head-on collision and then a get-rich-quick lawsuit against B&H Council? -

Not somewhere I'd want to leave a bike unattended for any length of time. There were a large group of locals drinking outside the Bat and Ball and not one of them had a full set of teeth 😬

Certainly not nice bikes, like yours. The only bikes I lock up and leave in Brighton are grungy ones that fit right in and are hopefully unnoticed.
Yes - outside the Bat and Ball pub, on west side of The Level.
Love your new tag... I don't know where it is, and Mrs. sea-level is already teasing me about it.

Hmmm... the new brick work is giving me a clue...

Is the age of the block paving the biggest clue here? I thought it'd be the massive mural that gives this one away 🤔
-
• #1424
I remember seeing the mural somewhere. The new brick work is giving me a clue as to where.

You'd probably have seen it walking around rather than riding but thats the only clue I'm giving you for now 😁
