I did 4 days cycling slowly from Dijon towards Auxerre along the canal - full touring with camping and cooking stuff. Amazing trip. Cannot wait to go back and do a different leg.
The canals are a great option but the surface is more gravelly unsuited to road tyres. The dust through. Everything will get covered in pale dust.

Mostly just riding loops starting around the Beaune area I think. So will either take the road bike or the gravel bike with me. Another time a few days credit card touring would be fun I think
@MTB-Idle - Troyes is a bit further north, not ridden there but been there a fair bit as it's a convenient stop when I drive to see my folks. Rode a bit further south-west (Auxerre) on a day that was as hot as hell and windy too; like riding in a bloody hairdryer. Lovely ride though.

Anyone got any good routes in Burgundy? Road or gravel is good... might be spending a few days down there in a couple of weeks.
