This talk of Time factors getting a rep for crap customer service has reminded me of my dealings with another Yorkshire watch seller, the now defunct Yorkshire Watches.
They sold me a brand new Seiko that was running slow when I received it. I sent it back and they refused to replace it because "you clearly have opened the watch and tinkered with it". I hadn't even taken the plastic off, let alone worn it or opened the case. Still fuming about that.
Edit: it wasn't just running slow, it was stopping after half an hour or so. It was clearly faulty.
Would have thought Seiko UK would have been able to help out with that, can't imagine them being happy with ADs giving shit service. Seiko stuff should just work.
