The cars are just too big and too fast for somewhere as small as Monaco now. Same goes for a number of other tracks. I maintain that the only place you could see true side-by-side racing would be somewhere the size of Le Mans.
Maybe they need to run a Monaco-only trim. Something with all the horsepower but a distinct lack of grip ie smaller tyres, no wings and no flat floor.
