  • Chuck a rigid fork on it and that thread might even be this one ;-)

  • Nicer than fbnpna, not quite a wanker.
I lock it up outside sainos(prob not asda) to do the weekly shop but wouldn’t lock it at the train station for the day. Seems about right...
Both flavours of wanky tyres for good measure. Bell cost more than frame.

  • The Planet X 26er ridgid would go down a treat on this

  • I'm confused and scared

  • I also put mine in there

  • @edmundro @otreb couple of great examples of what a sub-wanker bike can be, definitely have useability on their side with some hints of bling.

  • I lock it up outside sainos(prob not asda)

    Nail on the head

  • Ideally it’d have a bougie front carrier that makes use of the mid fork eyelet but let’s be honest they’re all shite really and it’s way easier to just throw beers and veg in a basket.

If I put up pics with the matching bob trailer would that bump me straight back down to functional tho? It’s a fine line we tread.

  • Let’s not get bogged down in the details. It’s more of a holistic thing. If you’re FBNPNA then you’ve gone too far.

  • It’s a fine line we tread.

    Tread carefully

  • Guilty feet have no rhythm

  • Thought I'd save some denied applications from the oblivion of the other thread!

  • wedge shaped frame bags, a SWH trend emerging?

  • Ha, that's my Giant :-)

A wedge-shaped frame bag does seem congruent, yes. Possibly even those on the spoddy end of the spectrum as long as it sits in a state of equilibrium with the rest of the bike.

  • I think ectoplasmosis' Stumpy is as wank as wank gets, in the best possible way. It's just a few empty frame bags and tanwalls away from peak wankery.

  • You know what, I was flip-flopping on that one. I think ultimately you’re correct, but the overall feel of the bike just seemed sub-wank. Maybe the ano isn’t over-done enough? It could just be the difference of a purple chainring…

  • I agree and to top it off Chris King hubs, it’s definitely on the more practical side of wank but the quality of parts of show should give it a pass.

  • more wedge shaped frame bags from myself :-)

  • Yeah that’s a good one. Nice parts here and there, nothing too showy, purposeful. Thumbs up

  • I feel like older GTs are the perfect frame for this thread- by default they’re a bit wanky but also available in some seriously budget flavours so stops you getting ideas above your station. I’m so freaking stoked mine is 700c, not 26 tho..

  • @buttrockanthem
Was waiting for this one to be posted! Looking so good with the Carradice matching the stem. +points for extra mode of transport (Indy 169’s?)

    @rob_g_clarkson
Too good, looking at home covered in muck, must be such a fun ride.

  • Does my first build count as well?
