Agree that Brexit is more the frog being slowly boiled (that story is a myth btw, the frog will jump out)
At the same time, probably breaking international agreements (the NI protocol) and threatening to do so before the Brexit deal was something nobody would predict.
However a whole lot of the predictions are coming true... goods sales to mainland EU are down, small businesses are going bankrupt, the UK has lost soft power, there is a nasty xenophobic undercurrent to Brexit (hai, Priti Patel) with EU immigrants ending up in a Windrush v2 situation, more bickering in Northern Ireland and riots (part due to drug dealing scrum, but Brexit is putting stress on our politics which we really don't need).
But it is ok as the house prices are going up /sarc yes.
I think these are really good points and we should be fighting to get this stuff into the public discourse but it's nigh on impossible when the narrative is so bombastic - and in my opinion a lot of that trash-talking has come from the side [supposedly] with the grey matter.
