  • I think I'm enjoying Snowrunner, but I'm not really sure. I like the concept and the 'missions' setup and things, but it just seems to be frustrating in the wrong way sometimes. I get that it's about offroading and stuff, but for me they've almost rammed in too much mud track in places that it just doesn't seem to make sense. There is a brief bit of tarmac road to a major location like a warehouse, but it turns to mud for most of the route until the entrance which is tarmac again. Maybe as I advance through and do the missions to unblock some of the roads it becomes possible to travel around the map on tarmac more, or maybe this is just what Michigan is really like, but I'd personally rather it was tarmac main roads to get to the resource locations, then you have to pull off the road and greenlane up to the drop point. Will persevere with it though as it is good fun other than that gripe I have with it. Could be that the 'story' element of the flooding and stuff will alter the map once missions are completed additional to the roadblocks clearing, but I doubt it.

  • Looks like an excellent co-op game, played Mudrunner (and might pick up Snowrunner on Switch) and enjoyed it, but definitely felt like co-op would add a lot!

  • Forget about tarmac in this game. I have played it a lot last year and it gets only worse in later maps.
Once you have enough money for multiple off road trucks you can pull a second one along with the winch and use it to help yourself out of tricky situations.
It's like a strategy game and the landscape is your enemy.
There are some maps that don't have a garage and are only accessible by driving across another whole map so you need a whole convoy of support vehicles.
