Oh I listened to this album based on the hype. I can't get with his vocals at all. So much 'we are weird'

Is like the first half of each song is the intro for the inevitable synth / guitar / drum off chant / crescendo. Love it.

I'm into this.
Can anyone recommend anything else that's similar?

For the hauntology fans (of which there may be none)...

If you like this, listen to ‘Luma’ on that record. In fact, just listen to all of it and all his stuff. This and Pye Corner Audio is the spiritual successor to Boards of Canada, who must surely be about to put something else out soon. 8 years between last two records, and last record was 8 years ago... 🙏

Yeah very good, love Pye Corner Audio. Did you see they released the Black Mill Tapes boxset a couple of weeks ago?

I did. I’ve remarked that it would be an excellent Father’s Day gift 😄
Some of the Black Mills stuff is sensationally good.

I was listening to Acceptable in the 80s (Kunt & the gang podcast) and he (Kunt) posed that Joe Dolce - Shaddap your face is better than UltraVox.
He is wrong, but tried to justify it in a mobile-disco-get-people-dancing song, rather than individual merits. -

Who’da thought that when I was fighting the (post) punk wars I’d one day be listening a yodelling, singing cowboy, and fucking loving it?

Two covers of a great cover by jimi
Duane Allman guitar on this 👌🏼
Then also this
It totally is. Huge resurgence in quality Hash. 'Homemade' Dry sift and Bubble Hash. There's very good quality Morrocan and Indian commercial grade available on T'Internet too
