What the fuck happened in the final sprint at the Ruta del Sol? Ethan Hayter took the win but somehow Daryl Impey and Robert Stannard crashed, then Stannard stood over the still down Impey and made him very aware of his dissatisfaction with affairs.

The crash itself was weird, Impey moved slightly left and his front wheel folded under Stannard's.

Yeah, especially as he pocketed the tiny tear-off part still.

Impey drifted across didn't he? Stannard came up so fast I don't think Impey even knew he was there but he did drift. Stannard is being very conciliatory about it, perhaps hoping it will save him from getting penalised for his very unsporting reaction.

On actual racing, a great win for the best smile since Esteban Chaves and a huge round of applause for Tratnic, who is built like a normal human being. Yates has made it clear that he is the main challenge to Bernal and hasn't made the mistakes that have cost him before. Monday should be a blinder, I have given myself the day off work.
