If I can do that, it'd just be a case of brazing a cable boss onto the downtube, which would be fine... Here's hoping!

You'll need to drill the bottom of the BB shell,
to fit a cable guide.I had an alu frame with just a bit of visually pleasing filler between the stays,
nothing as bulky as yours. There was a small hole to let the cable through,
never been a problem.
Builder was supplying TdF racers, Clerc. -

So. Lack of cable routing not the only problem. Entire back end is wonky and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't even be able to fit a brake calliper...
Just emailed Robert. Guessing I'll have to send it back, but hopefully this is something he can fix rather than having to build a whole new frame.
Bugger.

And here's the resulting "clearance" for the disc rotor

Worked out what's going on - it's spaced for a 130mm hub. That well known disc hub width...
Anyone have any experience with Bike Mielec making these kind of errors and getting them resolved at all?

dbad sleeper cell was activated, this has to suck

If I'd spent more than £220 on it (shipped!) I'd be bloody livid. More annoyed that I spent 6hrs yesterday sanding and polishing the bloody thing before putting the wheels in! Shame as it was going to be awesome. Was supposed to be taking it to Colourtech tomorrow for a smoke chrome lacquer (hence the sanding/polishing) :(
Hopefully he'll offer to rectify the situation - a Polish-speaking friend has kindly agreed to help me out if he doesn't get back on email.

Just add spacers?
-
• #5185
Wrong way round, unfortunately - the hub's too big for the frame, not too small! 130mm is standard road size with calliper brakes. Standard road disc size is 135mm.

• #5186
Yes….. but hub spacers for the brake clearance?
-
• #5187
Aaah, I see! I'm pretty sure I couldn't fit them in. It's a squeeze getting it in with the extra 2.5mm each side. Could be worth a shot though - I've got a bunch of 0.5mm spacers about the right size in the tool box...

Just tried it. With a 1mm spacer drive side and x2 1mm spacers non drive, I can get it so that it fits. Except. There's very little of the nubbin that hooks into the drop outs on the non drive side, and the disc isn't parallel with the calliper. That'd screech loud enough to kill those faint of heart if I happened to brake near them...
Would also have the problem that losing a spacer if I took the wheel out to fix a flat would result in carrying a bike to the nearest train station.

He's got back to me: sending the frame back and he'll fix it. Really happy about that - I'd started eyeing up a custom ti frame way too long before retirement age...

Man, those issues sound like a right pain... Hope it gets sorted quickly
Glad to say my track frame came with no issues, and super satisfied with the outcome. Did take 6 months from purchase to delivery, but arguably worth the wait. Super light and sleek. Wasn't sure what paint job to expect as he said they didn't do metalic paint jobs, but I sent him a picture of a previous frame they sprayed up and really happy with the metalic blue that arrived.

So my brother has an untouched, box fresh frame form that first batch order all those years ago, in the same fluoro pink as above.
Going to try and get it off him and get it built up for the summer.

I saw the bike riding past a couple of year ago in London.
I still have those stickers somewhere as well! -

I just found out about mielec, I hope I am not too late, does mielec still make track frames/single speed frames? If mielec does, how do I contact them. On the website they have this contact email: bikemielec@bikemielec.com , is this still the correct email ?
Thank you in advance !

Nice! Would be fun to see a new Mielec in here.
This seems to be from the end of last year;

Hard to tell for sure but that looks like a normal BB cluster with a bridge and the gap filled in and smoothed out, if that's the case you should be alright drilling through the filler which ain't doing much, probably worth confirming that first though.
