I was talking to the guy at Fitzrovia watches before (same kind of grey imports) who said that he spent as much time looking at FX rates as watches. The watch I got from them was from an AD in Cyprus, all correctly stamped, etc but obviously more of a faff than a UK one.

I like it, was thinking about it for spb143 as it’s natural rubber

speedy Tuesday
Great combo, remind me who made it?

It’s another Two Stitch one.
It looks a bit narrow for the lugs there, which it isn’t, I think it got squashed by the spring bar tool a bit. Need to see if I can massage it back a bit…

Tempted by a second SKX013 because its such a nice classic. And always wanted to see if I like the alpinist. Will DM in a bit.

Let me know if you find a good way. I intend to “massage” my 20mm straps into the 21mm lugs in the Longines.
-

Mm, don’t know if that’s all that possible - this is a 19mm strap in 19mm lugs. But I think the Omega spring bars have the ridges quite far in for some reason, seems I always have to pull them quite far out with the spring bar tool when I change straps and that squashes the leather a bit.

I know, it's much better to have the correct width. I'm just hoping some of the straps are a bit ''fatter'' than the width indicates. For example, some leather straps that I put on the BB58 needed quite a bit of squeezing before they fit in. We shall see.

You definitely get that. I have another 19mm strap that’s a tighter fit and occasionally squeaks a bit against the lugs when I have it fitted to the FOIS.

Odd lug widths suck.

I love love the bracelet but seriously tempted to go single pass NATO for that classic iconic MN look (not my photo).

I love single pass straps. I've got a dark red I want to use but don't have a matching dial.

That looks lovely Ed - good purchase

Ditching the metal bracelet was the best thing I did -

Very nice

Oh I don't know.
Not sure I'll ever take this off the bracelet. 😎

Whoops, series of miss clicks, never meant to post.
Awesome watches everyone.

I’ve seen some with NATO which made the Pelago look smaller and proportionated.

I've put a rubber strap on my BB58, it fits my wrist so much better than the bracelet. NATO looks good too!

I do prefer the red BB on a starp. Maybe its the colour.
-
• #55371
I think the starp just breaks the monotony of the case and bracelet being the same colour. Plus BBs look good on anything.
Was clearly something in the air today about NATO /military straps. I got bored and started playing around with the Exp2 on the old straps had for the Bremont. Currently on a moody Erika:

Got this little citizen in the mail today. Very much skx vibes... Bracelet is cheap as but the case feels pretty good. $199 aud seemed a ridiculous bargain, especially with a 5 year warranty.

I would put Seiko in that price bracket.
Even GS. 😎

Taking my older omega to get serviced and a new battery. Hasn’t had a battery since I bought it in 2006, hope it hasn’t leaked inside. I didn’t know that could even happen until I read it on here.

^ This. WOM 'source' them from other markets and import them on the cheap. Not necessarily dodgy but better coming from an official UK AD if they price match.
