This is a strange but also incredible bike... it's a perfect women's sized bike and the frame is for traditional lever gearing but it's currently configured as a singlespeed. The hubs are Phil Wood and the rake on the front forks means that it is incredible stable, smooth, and rolls better than any of my other bikes do. It's beautifully smooth as rides go.
So what's strange? Well it's not the product of being bought off the shelf, it's the product of changing individual things until my partner was absolutely comfortable in all respects and loved it. And yes she loved it, how it rode, where we went, and that incredible head badge on the frame. In total this is about £1,500 of components to make the best possible ride quality... but it's not your usual set of components, those Campagnolo Record levers are rather unique, the Phil Woods classic looking but providing an incredible ride, a Royce bottom bracket you'll never have to care about, but then there is the pairing of the Brompton saddle (which weirdly was way more comfortable than another 10 saddles we went through before settling on that as the one that worked no matter what the conditions).
Price: £700 as seen.
Fairly priced as splitting and selling components would yield a profit.
Collection from North London - Crouch End N8, or I can deliver within the M25.
And yes my partner knows I'm selling it, this is with her consent as she's purchased her first ever piece of art and is trying to cover the cost of that.
So... onto the list of things:
52cm Thorn Audax Classic in 725 Reynolds in Black
Shimano Dura Ace HP-7410 1 inch Threaded Cartridge Bearing Headset
MKS Custom Nuevo Alloy Racing pedals
75mm -18 deg Nitto Black Alloy road quill stem (to fit 25.4mm bar clamp)
Cinelli drop bars
Shimano Ultegra BR-R600 brakes
Campagnolo Record brake levers
SKS chromoplastic 700c / 27in mudguards black
DT Swiss RR 1.1 700c Road Rim - Silver 32 hole
Royce Titanium bottom bracket with 73mm shell, red all weather seals and stainless Royce crank
Singulator Single Speed chain tensioner
Phil Wood 32h Kiss Off Fixed/Fixed Rear Hub 135mm spacing.
The only thing I'd recommend changing is the saddle if this is not the best for your derrier, otherwise everything on this bike is in great working order.
