Being that it's Giro rest day, we need to talk about Tom. Seems his XC win was a little overshadowed by Sunday's gravel!
A 1min winning margin in his second elite World Cup is astonishing. Consider that vdP took three seasons of WC XC before he started winning.
Which raises the question of Pidcock's development relative to vdP. And who is the Best All Rounder...MTB seems to favour Pigeon's w/kg. Couldnt see vdP winning even on a dry Nove Mesto course. vdP still has the upper hand at CX (less so on climbing/running courses). Road one dayers seem more of a level playing field.
With WvA we're lucky to have our own Federer, Nadal and Djokovic. Not sure who's who.
