  • They seem to have mainly tribute bands and weird sort of 90s nostalgia acts there now.

CSB alert: My mate's first job out of college was at MTV in the late 90s and one of his first assignments was to interview and film And You Shall Know Us By The Train of the Dead. They acted like prima donna rockstar dickheads and deliberately knocked over and broke a load of lighting in their interview then at the gig (I think it was at the Astoria) my mate was filming the gig and one of the band came over and kicked the camera (and by extension my mate's face) breaking the camera and cutting my mate's face.

20 some years late my mate is living St Albans and notices that AYSKUBTTOTD are playing in this shitty provincial pub venue. We got quite a long way through a plan to turn up and chuck a camera at them. Can't remember why it didn't happen. COVID i think. Am seriously up for it if they ever come back.

  • Great music though! Their first three albums are ace.
They do sound like dicks, mind.

Weird circuit going on around here for the tribute bands and 90's indie disco nights but they keep getting booked so someone must be going.
I gap filled bass for a Fu Manchu / Kyuss esque band back in the day

Rocked up with my two Orange 4x10 and the sound guy did the sound guy "you won't need both of those" speach.... Needless to say I fully enjoyed using both of those in that little room and the PA handled it all fine. One of my fav gigs I played!

  • And You Shall Know Us By The Train of the Dead

    er Trail Allan 😉
