If you like the idea of a supported foot area, there is also the Macpac Bush Cocoon (now also updated from eVent to Pertex Shield Air) which takes a small external pole or stick, though they only produce them every few years. They seem to be currently available from the manufacturer:

Thanks for the info!
I like the look of the (now discontinued) Ridge Master with the raised foot box, so good to know the new Ridge Raider is a bit more in that direction.
Not sure I want to wait till after the Summer though!
