If anyone has any recommendations between the Beyerdynamic DT990 vs DT880 headphones, I'm all ears (lol). I'm leaning toward the DT880s as they seem flatter and I'd be using them for mixing.

I have the 600 ohm version of these and they're great, there's nothing close at that price point imo.

Edit- just to add that they're really comfortable as well. I can wear them all day with out issue, first pair I've had that don't leave my glasses imprinted in my head.

Yeah I think DT880s are hard to beat at that price.

If you start edging towards the £350 range you should take a serious look at the Audeze LCD-1 - the tech (and the frequency response curve) is amazing.

I'm using the dt770s 80 ohm and they are very comfortable. I seem to be regularly over cooking the bass tho. Exhibit A. Could be because they are level limited. What's wrong with hd25s are they not a good mixing headphone?

Both are great options and both will need adjusting to, so in a mixing sense it doesn’t matter loads - I have the 990s because they were only £75 in an Amazon deal!
