I think these should do it, I used a pair of them a while ago with some Tiagra brifters which didn't have aero cable routing:

Thanks @GreatSince78. I have a pair of Jagwire Rocket adjusters (not Rocket 2) but the end is a tiny bit too large in diameter to insert into the brake cable stop. Annoyingly.
Do you know how the Rocket 2 differs to the Rocket?

Drill the brake cable stop to suit if the difference is so small, most drills can be obtained in 0.1mm increments. Which is about the thickness of a sheet of paper.

Those are for gears not brakes!

Yeah it's a bodge, but is there any reason you can't use them for either brake or gear cables?

Brake cables are thicker.

Gear cables don't carry a great deal of force, brake cables do. The thread in the gear barrel adjuster may not be able to hold it's position under the force of emergency braking, and you would not want brakes suddenly going slack at the moment they are most required.

Jagwire make in line brake adjusters and say not to use their gear adjusters for brakes

I've got some other brands in-line brake adjuster. The reasons I don't like them are I think all in-line adjusters (as in mid cable) look messy almost like a bodge and also in poor conditions it's an inlet for water mid cable. At least one located at the brake itself isn't letting water into the housing.

These are jagwire sport adjusters

Sorry, I understand the difference and potential safety issue.

Strong Google-fu DJ, bullet dodged, so what's the alternative for the OP's issue, there must be something suitable out there, although if it were me I'd just use an inline one near the brake levers...

Surely with the second coming of the Wanker Hybrid there must be some nice barrel adjusters that fit snugly into a v brake noodle?

To fit these ...

Most flat bar brake levers have barrel adjusters built in right?
I'm actually looking for a solution for this though, because I'm using V-brake drop handle bar levers, so no barrel adjuster unfortunately.

You could use inline brake cable adjusters, like these:

Yeah I guess they do. I'm riding with drops and a shimano road shifter (not a full-wanker, but 1x so definitely a bit of a twat).
As a bodge I dropped in some of these and added nut. They're rubbish and pop out, which is pretty dangerous.

I don't want/need inline. The perfect place to adjust is at the end of the noodle.
On nice adjusters you can tweek one handed, whilst riding. I've found inline adjuster are good for a while and then start rotating at the ferule ... meaning two hands needed get them working.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong :)

Interesting priorities.
You could try jamming/gluing one of these in the noodle? I did that with my MTB rear derailleur.

This kinda thing maybe?

Perhaps. It's for a cx/gravel bike. If it's wet then pad wear by the end of longer events means I'll have adjusted brakes a few times.

Nifty!
I want to fit a barrel adjuster to my Shimano BR-CX77 but I want to install it at the brake rather than insert an inline adjuster. The cable stop on the brake only just accepts the 5mm housing so I need a barrel adjuster that takes a 5mm cable and ends at 5mm diameter to insert into the housing stop.
Can anyone recommend such an adjuster?
Cheers
