The car has had quite a life, after the original paint artist? paint job was disguised when the car was stolen then cleaned off, the car was then used by one of the Joplin entourage till being returned to a family member who restored the car back to the original silver. Then another family member had someone recreate the artists work on the car.
Or something like that.

Brings the idea of what I should do with my Porsche wank mobile. Return to original spec or the uprated snd later spec with bigger turbos and intercoolers. Or replace everything with a true water cooled engine or the original modified air-cooled block.
Think I have learnt why I got the car so cheap.

The Boxster that you showed pictures of has turned into a 996 turbo? What did you feed it?

I'm going to look at the following tomorrow, all petrol estates - 2008 A4, 2006 BMW 320, 2013 Skoda Octavia, 2011/14 Mondeo and a 2004 Volvo V70. The Volvo will be by far the biggest I guess but it's going to be too expensive to run I think as the fuel economy is dire and insurance is a lot. I'd like to put MTBs in the back and I can't afford money pit. What would be the forum pick for a cheap runner that'll fit a whole bike in the back?
I wish car review people would give the boot length as well as volume

Mondeo. Will be huge inside, far bigger than others except v70 and likely cheap ish to run, if not a lemon. Good cars.

This.
As much as I love my 2006 XC70 [V70], if I was buying now I'd take the 2014 Mondeo.

Mondeo will be the nicest to drive of the fwd estates. Cheapest parts as well.

Apparently the fuel tank is 66
litres, which given that I put 64 in at the petrol station is a little concerning. -
• #64548
Scratch that, it’s got the touring tank which is 80 litres. It panicked when it got to the last 25% of tank showing and kept suggesting petrol stations to go to.

Best bike car I had was a scenic grande, it drove 'small'(and cheap) but it was huge inside, galaxy/alhambra scale. I used to drive a v70, very barge-like and thirsty
