I really like these, pretty cheap and decent length, minimal branding.

Got some Albion bibs. Can confirm they have the longest leg of any bibs I’ve hade before. I’m vertically challenged though, so this has never really been a problem for me.

if anyone decides to sell their long bibs, in large, or medium for endura, I am in need of some new ones. currently I am wearing double shorts; one pair that are long and comfy but also pretty cheap and see through, another random pair over the top to hide arse. urgh

Posting here as recommended from Any Question Answered, had a search through the thread but couldn't find anyone else raising the same issue - bibs for long upper bodied people:
Any bib short brands recommended for people with long upper bodies / midriffs? Just had to return an expensive pair of Assos shorts as despite being in the height range for that size, the shorts ended up so low they felt very uncomfortable and lower stomach area visible below the line of my jersey. Not a good look.
Very little stock available in stores here in Helsinki so I'll need to be ordering online as I won't be able to try anything on.

Wouldn’t a longer jersey be more helpful for this issue?

After over ten years my Rapha shorts finally died. Not bib shorts, but the ones made of Schoeller fabric (IIRC). They had a circular panel for re-inforcement in the gooch area.
The current Rapha shorts that don't look anywhere near as good, so before I reluctantly order those, what other alternatives should I consider?

Swrve. Similar fit and similar fabric IMO.

The 'durable cotton' ones?

Yes indeed. Considering you can return them it's worth it I think. There are three different fits of the cotton short: trouser, regular and cigarette.
The page for the trouser fit says:
THE FIT
technically a regular fit as these are modeled on our regular fit trousers, these fit a bit slimmer than our regular fit shorts, but looser than our skinny cigarette shorts, so in the spectrum of the shorts these are closest to a slim fit. 9" inseam.Another option, which is what I am currently wearing when riding my non-road bike are these:
https://www.swrve.co.uk/collections/shorts/products/durable-cotton-camp-short#
The fabric is really stretchy and dries quickly. They definitely have a slightly wider fit, which works for me as I have larger thighs. The pockets are generously sized and deep which means I can keep my phone in my pocket, whereas I am not sure if the standard Durable Cotton's would really accommodate a modern, large phone. I don't think the design of those has been updated in like 8 years or something. The other reason the camp shorts are good, for me at least, are I have 29" inseam and the 9" length means they don't go below my knees like the 11" length would.
Re sizing, they really are true to size around the waist.

Also got the same problem, but I'd also like to be able to go for a wee.

Cigarette fit is for hippy, right?

Another vote for Swrve - they are ace. Being buying them for nearly 9 years, wouldn't have anything else.
Echoing JB's comments re: sizing though, I'm a 32/33 in vanity Uniqlo sizing but a 34 in Swrve.

+1 to camp shorts. Love mine.

Seeing as I am probably punching in an order on the Swrve website, have anyone had a chance to handle the Track Jacket in the flesh?
I am sold on the aesthetics, but what is the fabric like? If it's too soft it would just look as if you're wearing a track suit top. (And I am too old for that. )https://www.swrve.us/collections/jackets/products/midweight-track-jacket

Speaking of shorts, shamelessly ordered some v4 Jorts from Ripton and Co.
10% off with SHREDLEISURE and wasn't asked to pay any taxes on arrival.Comfier than the swrve cotton trouser shorts (that are also real good).
