• I have finally got round to building up my first ever road bike into a singlespeed kiddyhauler. It's going to be a bit of a workhorse in various guises as the little 'uns migrate between double trailer -> himax seat -> bikes of their own. It will also be shared between me and my wife hence the need to move the seat up and down easily. It also turns out that (for me) 44x16 is too big a gear for hauling 30kgs worth of boys plus trailer. Yes I know the steerer needs a chop

    What I'm after:

    • 18/19/20t singlespeed cassette cog
    • 28.6mm QR seatpost clamp
    • Kickstand
    • Cheap 28mm tyres

  • Ahh nice one. If they're off a cassette will they work with a 1/8 chain?

  • I might have a cheapo kickstand here somewhere, but then again I probably chucked it. Let me see.

I've definitely got a couple of 28mm tyres here - do they need to match?

  • @billygoat28 ok sounds good. if you've got a 19t and 20t in the pile that would be great. would you be ok sticking in the post for me? Lmk a price and how to pay

@letog that's great on the kickstand, thanks. 28mm can be mismatching no problem, just so long as they've some life left in them. Lmk what you've got when you get a moment

  • Where are you mate

  • Got a pair of hardly used Michelin Dynamic Sport in 28. Got no more than 200 miles on them

Got them in the classifieds somewhere for £15 +£3 postage.
