I seem to recall from when I was looking for a new bike, the Aspero had a long TT/short HT so that ruled it out.

You're doing gravel wrong if you ride with any clearance. 1mm each side, just enough to ride to your favourite photo shoot location in a dry day.

I did, landed on the soft though. It did wedge itself in pretty hard, I had to deflate the tyre and undo the TA to be able to spin it backwards and get it out

Thru-axes?

Everyone laughed when I filled the whole fork with tyre. No stuck stickies here, Chop!

Just a few scratches on the inside of the fork, spokes and rim look fine and spin true

Having just acquired cargo cages and bags this gets a nod of approval. Only having a wee bar bag is very pleasing.

Having lived in Helensburgh as a kid, this has spiked my interest. Be interested to hear about your trip once you're back.

I have a week off and plan to do it in three days so I can pick whatever days the forecast looks good (or least wet, ha!).

Looks great. And aye the weather is pretty nice, been dry, not exactly warm, so that counts as nice.
