  • How much is the lease, if you don't mind me asking?

  • Sounds .... handy.

  • How much is the lease, if you don't mind me asking?

£400 pcm with £4.8k initial lump.

2 years, 10k total mileage for the lease. I may exceed this but historically it's been about right for my low level car usage.

  • It's quite a lot cheaper if you lease for longer.

  • Cheers. Wondering what to do when the Dad Max finally dies. Only bought it in November so hopefully not imminent. But it is a 14 year old car.

  • Also I got the wanky top spec 4+ trim. Not a necessity but I like the sun roof and my kids like the heated rear seats.

  • I miss my Panda

Yeah there’s something about them. Anti but cool. I’ve gone a bit nuts about it, fixing it up and keeping it clean.

  • I smoked an s4 on a narrow dc slip lane in the leaf the other day following 3 miles of being tailgated on a very narrow country lane. Childish but satisfying.

  • Jinxed the Dad Max. Remembered the mechanic saying there was a coolant leak but he just topped it up and passed the MOT with a note to say bring it back in to be looked at. Totally forgot, realised the heater has not been working the last week or so and the fan staying on for 10 seconds after parking up (which it didn't do before). Engine temp fine, loft the bonnet and see this. Now topped up.

  • Mine ("Wanda") was an 04 that hadn't been well looked after so the rear suspension went, or was about to go. Would have been Dammit levels of cost/benefit to fix, which I couldn't justify.

  • The Dad Max is an 07 auto "titanium" 2.0l. Totally different experience to the wee manual Panda. But it's already had the alternator go (replaced under warranty along with some split hoses) and an oil seal in the gearbox replaced (that wasn't too expensive). Wondering what the coolant leak will be.

  • Childish but satisfying

    Totally!

  • @mashton - what was the waiting time to get one like?

  • Ha!

I think I'd beat this in a car park. Not sure about the porker with the GT3++ special engine.

    I've never tried this
    .

  • what was the waiting time to get one like?

About 4 weeks from order to delivery. I opted for a colour that was in the country since I ordered whilst Suez was constipated.

Pearl white. I like it. Looks like a stromtrooper, with a golf ball moustache.

  • Panda rusty odd rusty wing

  • did you go thru a dealer or the kia mothership? their website doesn't fill me with confidence.

  • do you really believe that dude? I mean really believe it? EV is the future I have no doubt. but game changingly better in two years.

and fuck glad you are casual about writing off the Passat. glad noone hurt.

I think a purple sparkle could be a game changer for the MG x

  • Stuff of nightmares. Wtf happened, salt ammo from a shotgun?

  • love it dude. these are great cars. I would have kept the original gearstick gaiter though. hope you found alternative use for it.

  • Pretty much the same as my Twin Air. (Pissing coolant)

Currently in bits with part on order from Italy. :o(

  • EV sales grew over 4x globally in the last year (sure only 4% from less than 1%) but they made up around 14% in the UK.

The expectation is that electric car sales in the UK end up between 25-30% this year. That’s massive.

Infrastructure is catching up quickly. Fast charging particularly is growing at a rapid rate.

I reckon electric car infrastructure will be exponentially better in 2 years and the variety of cars available with electric drivetrains in will be huge.

  • i hear that dude. I am not anti in any way. EV is the future.

game changing though? i have a feeling no new car is going to knock my socks off for a while yet. which doesn't matter anyway as will never own a new anything except undercrackers and shoes

  • No idea what happened, but just the one wing. Rest of the car was fine, not even the cill end was rusty.

Wing is just bolt on and cheap and easy enough to buy a wing in the right colour.

  • Check my listings bruh. Selling lightly used undies.
