Yes, lines up when in big trim, when going from low to big trim. That's with the tension screw wound in quite far.
Problem is going from big, back down to big trim, cage doesn't move.Are you suggesting I needed more tension before tightening the cable clamp?

As long as the lines match up it’s fine but you won’t have much room for adjustments later. The trim on them mechs are minimal from experience. If you back off the high limit screw (or whatever they call it on them mechs) does it then trim? My thought is maybe your limit screw is stopping the mech on the trim position.

Did it line up when in big trim position? The amount of initial tension needed on the new style derailleurs are massive. At work I normally grab a third hand tool.
