Thanks, I'll try this a bit later on.
In order to line them up I had to wind the tension screw in quite far. I'll back it off and see if it improves.

Did it line up when in big trim position? The amount of initial tension needed on the new style derailleurs are massive. At work I normally grab a third hand tool.

Yes, lines up when in big trim, when going from low to big trim. That's with the tension screw wound in quite far.
Problem is going from big, back down to big trim, cage doesn't move.

Are you suggesting I needed more tension before tightening the cable clamp?
