Sla037/17 is a pretty hard sell for me when accuracy is so bad. Also feel like the proportions are off with a 40mm ish size and skinny bezel. Think they should have made it 37 like the OG.
To be clear, the accuracy isn’t bad, it’s not an inaccurate movement, they just don’t adjust them at the factory like they adjust GS. If you took it to a good watchmaker it could be adjusted to run very accurately indeed. My complaint is that, for the money they’re asking, they should be properly adjusted. It seems to be a brand hierarchy thing that they won’t do it below GS. (My 017 runs +1s / day FWIW.)
Re: size, the proportions are great for me, personally. Having tried one, the OG felt quite small for a divers watch, it felt dinky in a way that (eg) vintage Speedmasters don’t. If anything it’s the thickness that could be reduced (though a lot of it is in the crystal so it doesn’t look that big).

The spb 143 is pretty perfect for me, cheap enough not to worry about and I guess I got lucky with the movement with mine. Also staying away from magnets helps 😅
