  • Just fitted these two weeks ago. They feel great.

  • Actually I got confused with too many bikes being build ! :)

These tyres will go on the Leader AX that's coming. The Alan will have Tecno 416 tubular.

  • Ain't no such thing as too many bikes ;)

In fact, are you looking for a new project?

    I spot c-record ergos :)

  • Nice one and great price! I'll have to pass though :) still have to complete this Alan and a Leader AX and, soon, a Scapin.

  • After many years I finally almost finished it .

Full Dura Ace 7400 with 7402 brake set. Not sure about pedals yet, but they do are Dura Ace, as is the seatpin. Only exception is the stem.

  • Lovely. I recently picked up an ALAN frame too. An 82 model. What would be best to use on the lugs to get a high polish finish on them?

  • I am no expert, a regular alumin(i)um polish product and elbow oil should work

  • I'd be interested to know myself! I have an old Vitus alu Peugeot that could use the lugs polished.

I have always assumed that any polishing attempt may have to get through some clear anodising and would therefore require quite a lot of effort.

  • Autosol is my prefer stuff always get great results.

  • @Ndeipi I used ‘Peek’ metal polish on the lugs on my Vitus 979. A Dremel with a selection of mini mop wheels made it a breeze.

They are cast then polished from the factory, not anodised, which is why they always dull eventually. Some automotive wax will keep them shiny for a while after polishing.

  • Tyres to go. Everything else is final.

  • Great build. Very cool indeed. Bravo.

    I vote gumwalls for tyres.

I like the spinning wheels in the photo too.

If you ever find a yellow turbo saddle then you could get yellow bar tape too and these would play very nicely with the decals. Would be extra rad.

  • Also @ectoplasmosis thanks for this info and the Dremel advice.

  • This is up for sale too, £700 if anyone is interested.
