Agreed, looks far too "Purposeful" to my eyes. Could imagine someone building this up as a cheap bike to tour the world with. In my mind, the bikes in this thread should tour at most, Kent, if at all.

I'd like something like a Surly Bridge club as I am very interested in building a wanker hybrid but it's expensive and I'm looking for possibly European alternatives.

I want steel, 29er, not totally MTB geo. What are my other options?
