Stunning build & lovely patio.
Don’t forget to flick the derailleur clutch switch to ‘on’.

Normally I'm not a huge fan of Crust bikes, mostly because a lot of people end up making them hideous. Yours is perfect.

30 mile shakedown ride along the Thames and Wey done. Mechanically all good. A bit of squealing from the rear brake as it’s bedding in. Lovely and cushy as you’d expect along the bridle paths.

Lovely build, really different and stands out from the crowd these days. Thoughts on the brakes vs standard cable pulls vs actual hydros? Interested what you think there. Cheers and enjoy :) t

Thanks @tomsvoboda
The Yokozuna brakes are plenty powerful, and comparable to the hydro set ups I have on other bikes: Ultegra + GRX on my Bearclaw and Sram NX on my mountain bike.
They feel quite abrupt right now and a bit squeaky but I expect more modulation and quietness as the brakes bed in.
Looking forward to a dry ride today.

This turned out great. I’m never going to be fully sold on a black cassette but it kinda works here. Looks like it’s a lovely bike to ride.

Is that the Arundel Gecko Grip bar tape you're using? Does it have any stretch to it?

That's a great build!

Ta. Can't find my go to bar tape in stock (Spesh Roubaix in black), so looking at alternatives, had lizardskins years ago but the top layer always peeled off. Will give the Arundel further consideration.
Edit: just found a couple of rolls of Genetic Silicone bar tape in a box in the shed, no clue when I bought it, will give that a go, Arundel if I don't like it. -

Another shake down ride today after some family visits this morning. Saddle and stem both raised a few mm and put a bit more air in the tires so they’re both about 50psi. Much better and a faster ride today. Also in the dry the bike is so quiet. Glad of the bell to give a little warning to walkers.
