Charlie sold up a couple of years ago. It is now run by a couple of blokes in Yorkshire.

I've used this to put gears on a track bike with qr wheels. Worked perfectly.

My partner jumped the gun slightly and logged in to WhatsApp on a new phone before creating/restoring a backup on the old one. If she logs back in on the old phone, will the chats still be there? We don't want to delete them by accident.
Edit: well she did it and they were still there. Now we know

Bought some black Billy Bonkers instead, £25 each, 100g lighter than the Gravel Kings.

the problem solvers one? did you use the Surly QR adaptor with it as advised by problem solvers, or just the derailleur hanger? any chance you have a picture of the set-up :)?

Only relevant thing I can think of is protected characteristics, and having kids dont seem to be clearly one of them, as long as theyre already born, and not on maternity leave anymore.
Age being one of them, people still advertise 60+ etc... its all really a matter of "will someone actually take me to court for this?". Reckon "no kids" is a lot more likely to fly under the radar than say "no X religion".

Bit of an odd one, do we have anyone works in the banking industry? Got some Qs re bank payment recall time/practice etc. Long story but I didn’t get paid in April because my work said they paid it into the wrong account and are blaming me for giving the wrong bank details (I didn’t) and now they are saying they will only pay me if/when they can recall the money.

I used this dmr one:

Didn't use any other adaptor. Got that one as it came as a pair, but I just used one.
I'll have a look for a photo. -

Does anybody use Brave or another browser that profit-shares from selling our data? Curious to hear about your experiences.

Yes, but looks like the actual problem is a disagreement about whether you supplied the right details or not. So you probably need legal not financial procedure advice. I am not a lawyer but fairly sure the first question they would ask is whether you have documentation of the bank details you provided.

I did supply the correct bank details yes but they are also saying I didn’t. I have a screen shot of my start forms and they are not disputing the fact that I did provide the correct bank details but they are now also saying I changed it. Why would I touch my bank details if I haven’t changed my bank?
It looks like they fucked it up when they entered my bank details incorrectly onto the system and trying to shift the blame onto me.
So what it is the sort code is correct, only the last digi of the account number is wrong. What are the chances of that being an actual account with just 1 digi different out of the the 6+8 digis combo?
Also, how long does it usually take for a recall to be processed?
I am going to pay that incorrect account £1 later to see what will happen to get an idea myself. A colleague who has worked there for much longer told me they would not rule out someone was actually commuting a fraud. I don’t know, so before I get my union and then legal involved, I just want to get paid and let it slide, if HR is dodgy, it’s not my fight.
So any banking help is appreciated so if they are trying to call bluff I can react accordingly before it gets ugly. Union and legal will be the last step if now resolved by end of next week.

The oblivious question is what evidence do they have that they changed your address?

High. Account numbers are often sequential.
As I see it, you provided your bank details. They haven't paid you. If they screwed up and sent the money somewhere else it's their problem. End of story.

Drop-bar bikes for someone 5’0”. Is a XS frame with 700c wheels terminally compromised? Is there a 26” wheeled road / gravel bike available OTP? I’ve seen a Frog one but it’s very much a kids bike with crappy spec.

Track bikes all have drop bars and 700c wheels, and smaller adults seem to ride them fine. A few brands do Xs and xxs, what sort of price bracket are you looking at?
-
• #108019
Up to £1k I reckon, does need brakes and gears though :)
-
• #108020
I'd look for something 650b sized, or that will take 650b wheels
Eg an XS https://www.wiggle.co.uk/kona-rove-al-650-gravel-bike-2021 -

I think that’s exactly what I’m looking for, thank you very much. Good here innit.

Islabikes for nippers have better spec., a Luath 700 Small might be a better fit for a 150cm adult than some XS "adult" bikes

My eldest rides a 700c 37cm forme calver cx bike and 140ish cm tall.
-
• #108024
Surely a 650b gravel bike is going to have the same frame compromises as a 700c road bike, as they both need to accommodate similar outer diameter tyres?

I know, which is why it’s frustrating because they are insisting that I changed my details on the online system between the starter form and getting paid. It’s my words against theirs, I can insist for them to show me proof like system logs but I honestly don’t think out HR system is that advanced or at least they wouldn’t know what I am talking about.
I just hope they get the money or whatever back in the next few days and that will be the end of the story.
Presumably you can set whatever criteria you want to within reason. No smoking, no pets, no kids etc.
Not quite the same, but I've come across loads of campsites on my bike that are no kids.
