You know I can sell successfully any bikes for 1€/$/£, and take those as a reference for future sales. It could be as much as realistic. My point is the seller set his price, and if it doesn't find any buyer, he will understand what's wrong with it. But comparing his price with older sales doesn't make any sense

Yea that’s usually how it works? But irrespective of salesmanship, the places you sell them will act as a corrective/ balancing for price. Especially a community like here or other forum based classifieds.

I don’t consider there to be a material difference between the v1 & v2 works frames. The v2 had the crank clearance issue addressed which arguably makes them more desirable depending on the cranks you want to run.

The v1 vs v2 thing was born out of the differences with the Gangsta frame sets, Brooklyn made vs Taiwan made. I’m not sure it really applies to the works frame, but that just opinion!

The clearance issue on the v1 can be easily solved. The main difference between the v1 and v2 is regarding the finish, and how it will look when rusted.

For a new mash steel, once you factor in taxes/duties (those aren't included in the states) and shipping costs... it works out to about what I am asking. hehe

That's also assuming you acted quickly in the winter time to get on the 3-6 month waiting list as they are all sold out now. Alternatively you could get a cinelli tutto for a bit cheaper... but its styling is... not as cool.

But yea not in a rush to sell, just my girlfriend keeps complaining that I have 3 bikes in our tiny london flat. A rock lobster mtb, mash cxss and this one. All of which I think are ESSential but she doesn't lol.

Also yea I agree especially for extra small frame that ebay listing is asking for a lot, 50cm is only for small folk, hard sell.

These aren't Supreme or Palace drops. They don't go up in price when they sell out. That's not how it works

people always want "the market price" never the fees of selling on a market price website

I hate ebay for that reason, the fees are way too high now and they act as a cross country tax man, even on used items.

He's right though. It is a used frame being sold for more than new.

And just cos some people on ebay or some other place think something is "cooler" and worth more than when it was new cos there is less of it doesn't mean everyone should accept that .

cos there are an equal amount of people who disagree, and they're not some kind of unrealistic idiots for disagreeing. the price is eventually settled somewhere in between those two groups

We’ve seen evidence of people asking silly money on eBay, but no evidence of them sell for that price.

Recent eBay sales look like this, there was also a shop asking £1100 for a new one, but doesn’t look like it sold.

So I guess the seller can not sell it here for £950, and then not sell it on eBay for £950.
