I'd have a look at used office furniture on ebay - you can usually fine decent usm haller, herman miller, vitra, muuto, HAY stuff as this is often specced as part of office fit outs.
I got a usm haller sideboard and Vitra pad chair for a fraction of rrp and barely used this way
