nine hundred and fifty quid for a pompino with some stickers
-
• #3
You'll never understand the hipsters or their tax, it's a blessing really, appreciate it
-
• #4
at least it’s not the same blue as my pompino
edit, how much will it cost someone to spray my pompino this colour
-
• #5
you'd need to strip the paint and get a smokey clear coat so it gets SiCkk rust Bruv.
Bikes in general have gotten a lot more expensive and I've seen these go for $2k USD on eBay.. so.. the market is the market
-
• #7
Why?
-
• #8
you have trademark on "let the market decide"
-
• #9
Seems you own the rights to this shit tedious “joke” that literally no one is laughing at.
-
• #10
fair, the only winner here big yellow storage
-
• #11
Why, what are you paying to keep there?
-
• #12
why stop at £950, might as well go 1k for that extra impact
-
• #13
Spenny, but to be fair, Work and Steamrollers etc are a lot more elegantly designed than Pompino's agricultural angles. But also fair to say 950 is steep.
Seen full Mash Work builds go for between 700 and 950 depending on parts
-
• #14
Whoa, 950 is steep. But look at all these free bumps! :D
-
• #15
It looks like close to brand new, or perhaps I am mistaken. And considering the retail price and the extras, the price seems to be fair. And even if the v2 is probably not the most sought though
-
• #16
I've just checked what I paid for my V1 from wiggle in 2017 - £659.99.
Make of that what you will.
-
• #17
Are you still owning it ?
-
• #18
Yeah :) its just clocked 10,000 miles, according to strava.
Love it, even more than the Gangsta.
-
• #19
mine has a small paint chip on the top tube, some signs of rubbing on the seat stays due to locking up the bike but nothing serious, can probably be buffed out if you're anal about that sort of thing.
Really the V1 is more sought after? I always found the tight crank clearance a huge dealbraker for me. But I guess the V1 has more of that unique rust bucket look. Mine barely has any rust - a bit on the dropouts, always stored indoors.

What does the ebay link mean? Like the price of that one justifies the price of this one?
-
• #21
I think it goes both ways, it doesn't mean prices applied to older sales must be the right ones to follow
-
• #22
Unsurprisingly, it hasn’t sold since March.
It’s also in the US and you could nearly buy 2 of mash’s new works frames for the money.
Past sale prices are a better guide than an unsold frame on eBay.
Full bike sold here for £700 asking price
-

I agree that this current eBay sale is certainly a bit overpriced, but v1 and v2 prices cannot be that really compared. They are two different frame, the v1 will always worth more than the v2. Also yeah, you may buy nearly 2 of mash's new frames, but they are not the "Work" original frame.

Old sales are a pretty decent and realistic guide, cos they actually successfully sold? Versus something very expensive that’s sat there unsold …
-
• #25
It’s the og V1’s the supposedly more sought after (and thus should be more valuable) that I’ve seen sell for 700, 900, 1000 for whole builds, so …
Hello,
Pains me to sell this frame, but I have a mash CXSS and it's a bit rich to keep both.
Fork has been cut but still has room for 35mm worth of spacers. Extras it comes with:
-basically new campagnolo record headset and extra set of bearings
-canti studs and cable hangers
-Cinelli Vai seatpost and giant contact neutral saddle (matches the bike tbh)
-warranty book/card it came with
-brake and water bottle cage nylon bolts
-shimano saint gold bottom bracket
-set of used but decent 32mm conti grand prix 5000 tires
£950 Takes it, if not met it will go to eBay
